SADO ISLAND'S OGI FOLK MUSEUM

This small museum has collected more than 30,000 objects of all kinds to recreate what Sado must have been like in the past. The museum was founded by a Japanese ethnologist Tsuneichi Miyamoto. It is currently housed in an old wooden schoolhouse dating from 1920. Among the numerous objects, one finds fishing tools or equipment for the construction of boats. A fully restored wooden cargo ship is on display.
