This old traditional restaurant specializes in wappa-meshi: steamed rice with fish, fish roe, crab meat, etc. The wappa was a round container made of a thin sheet of bent wood, used as a bento by woodcutters since ancient times. It is a container that goes well with the presentation of dishes. Wappa-meshi has become one of the most popular dishes in Aizu. In this restaurant, it is served in an excellent way.
