Built during the Meiji period, this red and white brick building was the headquarters of Akita Bank. The bank building was then given to the city in 1981. It then reopened as a museum in 1985. In the modern building at the back, take a look at the colorful prints depicting traditional Akita life by Katsuhira Tokushi. It is always very surprising to see brick in the Archipelago.
