The temple houses a large five-story pagoda, over 30 meters high, built in 1667 by the3rd Lord Nobuyoshi. It is considered to be the most beautiful pagoda in Tokoku. It was built during the Edo period using a nail-less construction method. It is designated as an important cultural heritage site of the archipelago. Again, the temple's cherry trees blooming in spring provide a beautiful backdrop to the pagoda. In the same area of Saisho-in Temple is a statue dedicated to Kukai.
