TOGAKUSHI OKUSHA
The shrine pays homage to Ame-no-tajikarao-no-mikoto, who forced the opening of the Amanoiwato with his unrivalled divine power. Many worshippers visit the shrine, which is reputed to answer prayers related to good luck, wish fulfillment and abundant harvests. The shrine is reached through Zuishin-mon, a gate of red cinnabar, and then along a road lined with cryptomerias for 2 km. These cedar trees, over 400 years old, are designated as a natural monument. This building is one of the five buildings in the complex.
