KYŌYA
This very pretty restaurant, with its old-fashioned tavern feel, offers a very interesting and well-stocked menu, with menchi katsu on the program, soba, trout, hoba miso (soybean paste cooked on a magnolia leaf) and absolutely divine omelettes. Some tables have their own built-in grill. For those with a sweet tooth, a Hida wagyu steak is on the menu for ¥4,500. The atmosphere at this izakaya is very friendly, and the owners are multilingual, so they'll be delighted to say a few words for everyone in a multitude of languages.
