The museum is housed in a former warehouse built of Japanese cypress in the Edo Manryu style. It houses a collection of 2,500 important arts and crafts collected by Dr. Fuji, who lived in Takayama. The museum contains objects from Japan, China and Korea. Particularly noteworthy are the set of Hina dolls (for the March doll festival), which are over 270 years old, and scrolls painted by Taikan Yokoyama.
