Kōrimbō was once the living quarters of the samurai. It is pleasant to walk around it by day and night and stroll among the cobblestone alleys. The thick, tiled city walls now hide some modern houses. But you can visit the Nomura family house (Nomura-ke), which dates from the 19th century and has a nice garden (open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm from April to September and from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm from October to March / ¥ 550).
