ÎLE D'OSHIMA
Oshima Island is a sacred island of barely 2 km in circumference. The visitor can access it through a beautiful vermilion red bridge overlooking the sea. The walk is very pleasant and refreshing. In the heart of the island stands the Shinto shrine Ominato. From the shores of Oshima, one takes the time to contemplate the Sea of Japan and the cliffs of Tojinbo, not far from there. According to a local legend, it is bad luck to go around the island in an anti-clockwise direction. Keep it in a corner of your head before exploring.
