This sanctuary, founded in 1890, is one of the fifteen sanctuaries of the restoration of Kenmu. Located at the foot of the ruins of Kanegasaki Fort, it is famous among the local population for its many cherry trees. In spring, the place becomes spectacular. During the Meiji period (1868-1912), men and women visiting Kanegasakigu for sakuras suggested to each other: "Let us exchange flowers". Even today, young Japanese youths flock to the shrine to pray for the right partner.
