This temple is located about one kilometer from Gifu-Kōen. Inside it, one can admire a large Buddha dating from the 17th century made of lacquered paper and whose structure is made of wood. It took 38 years to build. Its imposing dimensions make it one of the three largest Buddha statues in the country, with its 13.7 meters high. On the other hand, the statue is at the top of the list of the largest lacquer statues in Japan. On the surface, a layer of gold leaf has been laid on top of the lacquer.
