This Edo period school, established in 1670, was created by the lord of Bizen. This Japanese material heritage site has been listed as an important cultural property of Japan since 2015. One can admire the pretty kôdô (the meeting and sermon hall), whose roof is covered with bizen-yaki tiles. Not far from the central gate are the Seibyo (Confucian) shrine and the Shintō Shizutani-jinja shrine. The area around the school is also worth a visit.
