The Taichoro, located in the Enceinte temple, was built in 1690. The opening of this reception room built during the Edo era, which overlooks the sea via a large window, dominates the inland sea and the island of Sensuijima in front, was conceived as an array. The Taichoro was designed to receive brand-name hosts, mainly Korean lords and merchants who qualifièrent the view of «the most beautiful landscape of Japan». The site is classified as a "national treasure".
