VILLAGE OF KAGURA MONZEN TOJIMURA
In the village of Kagura Monzen Tojimura, weekly Kagura shows are performed on stage. This traditional Japanese art, whose actors are dressed in sumptuous costumes adorned with brocades and very expressive masks. This theatrical dance was once performed by the Japanese as an offering to the Kami deities of the place where they live. Today they still continue to express their wishes for harvests, abundant fishing or good health. There are all kinds of Kagura, but each of them develops a clear and invigorating scenario in which good and evil, as well as various emotions such as joy, anger, sadness or pleasure are clearly represented. In a performance of Kagura, the actors sing uta laments, dance rounds and may dance to the sound of drums, flutes, cymbals and drums. Depending on the evening, once the show is over, you can try on Kagura's costumes and masks. There are also thermal springs, restaurants and hotels in the village.
