The building was constructed in 1590 by Terumoto Mōri. The castle was later coveted by the Asano family. Unfortunately, it too flew apart on August 6, 1945. It was rebuilt in 1958. The charm of the old structure is gone, as the castle was rebuilt with concrete. The five-story dungeon houses a museum on local history and the history of samurai families, which is quite interesting. The walk in the enclosure is pleasant.
