The Daishō-in is worth a visit for the opulence of its architecture. It is located behind the village, a bit out of the way, and can be visited on your way back from Mount Misen. Take time to wander between the pavilions, looking for the most interesting statues. This is the oldest temple in Miyajima. The main building houses the statue of Fudo Myoo and in the Kannon Hall is the statue of Kannon with 11 faces. The temple is located high up and offers a beautiful panoramic view of the island and the neighborhoods on the other side of the shore.

Temple located on a hill to which you access through a long staircase with multiple statues. Some beautiful views of the island. Small paths in the woods between the different buildings of the temple.

For me one of the most beautiful in Japan. I loved all the buildings lost in a "labyrinth" in the mountain. In addition, it is the beginning/end of the walk to climb up the island. Jai loved
