This elegant villa, inspired by the French Renaissance, has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. It is located below the remains of Tottori Castle (only the foundations remain). It was built to welcome Emperor Taisho during his visit in 1907. It is one of the rare buildings of this architecture dating from the Meiji period in the area. Now a museum, the villa can also be visited for the nearby Kyusho-koen Park, which is home to many Japanese cherry and maple trees.
