They are the glory of Tottori. All the more so since in 1964 the film La Femme de sable, shot by Hiroshi Teshiga- hara, gave the city a definitive notoriety. The Tottori dunes are the largest wavy dunes in the country. They allow for many activities such as paragliding or sandboard. They extend over more than 10 km and make the parapentistes joy envolant at any breeze.
