It's not the easiest site to get to, but viewing the Seto Inland Sea and Kan-onji City from the 404-meter high summit is a beautiful experience. On a clear day, you can even see Mount Ishizuchi, the highest mountain in Shikoku, in neighboring Ehime Prefecture. The main shrine's torii gate was selected in 2018 as one of the 88 views of Shikoku. Two hundred and seventy wide stone steps lead from the lower shrine at the foot of the mountain to the main shrine.
