1368 steps! This is what you will have to climb to reach this shrine dedicated to Omononushi, the Shinto god of the sea, also venerated under the name of Konpira-san of Sanuki. From the top, one is immediately rewarded by the splendid view of the surrounding mountains. The shrine itself is divided between a Buddhist temple and a Shinto shrine dating from before the Meiji era. It houses many important historical and cultural works.
