FUKUOKA - HAKATA STATION
The station is located in the center of the district of the same name, in the east of Fukuoka. In addition to the train (and the shinkansen), the subway will drop you off there, as well as most of the buses (the many stops are in front of the imposing structure). The visit of the city can start with the station, an impressive modern building nicely decorated with ceramics from the region. The roof of the building is a must-see. Take the elevator to the top floor (where you will find some good restaurants), then take the stairs to the left. The view over the city is superb.
