This park is a green lung in the heart of the city. Opened in 1929, thanks in part to landscaping work carried out in conjunction with the 1927 Fukuoka Industrial Exhibition, Ohori Park is well worth a visit. With its pond, footpaths, magnificent pine trees and ubiquitous wildlife, it's a place to enjoy at any time of day. The vermilion-red Ukimi pavilion, overlooking the water's surface, is a favorite spot for strolling couples. You can take a break at the pretty café/teahouse & LOCALS to the south.
