This small shrine built in 1658 is the self-proclaimed birthplace of Japanese porcelain. There are some small porcelain treasures, including a unique and beautiful example of a porcelain gate at the entrance to the shrine. The shrine is also famous for the sublime contrast created by its torii gate and the warm autumn foliage. These same beautiful colors are found along the path leading from the shrine to Mount Renge-ishiyama, which overlooks the city. Not to be missed.
