PORCELAIN GALLERIES
There are countless artisan galleries in the streets of Arita, displaying works that can reach heights in terms of quality and price. Our favorite, Fukagawa Seiji, in a magnificent building from the late 19th century. The creator of the place (who gave it his name) received the gold medal at the Paris World's Fair in 1900 for a gigantic and exceptional vase, a replica of which is exhibited on the first floor. Other galleries offer more accessible productions for all budgets, notably the Marukei Shousha Gallery.
