It is also called the Universal Temple of Kannon. It is a very particular, even unique temple, which has the appearance of a turtle carrying on its back a representation of Kannon of 18 m high. The temple, built in 1628, was destroyed by the atomic bomb. The current construction dates from 1976. The figure of Kannon and the giant turtle head are made of shiny aluminum, which gives the site a decidedly modern look despite its history. The temple bell rings at 11:02 a.m. every day, the exact time of the bombing.

Superbe petit temple en forme de tortue sur laquelle trône une statue de Kannon, qui mérite un petit détour.
