This island-museum, as it could be called, gathers several testimonies of the relations between the Japanese and the Dutch. Dejima was the name of the enclave granted to the Dutch. It can now be visited in its entirety, the buildings having been almost all rebuilt identically. Two of them are of the period. You can also learn more about this large-scale project to rebuild and renovate Dejima. Actors in costumes also mime the customs of the Tokugawa period. A fun and entertaining visit.
