In Nagasaki city, a series of beautiful bridges with arches span the Nakajima-gawa river. The most famous of them is Megane bashi, the bridge with glasses. Why this name? Well, when the water reaches a certain height, the reflection of the bridge in the river looks like a pair of glasses. Photography lovers are never far away. The bridge was originally built in 1634. The walk along the canal is very pleasant. It is accessed by steps from the street, located at various points.
