This 332-metre high mountain, located to the west of the port, offers superb views of the city, especially at night. It is reached by a cable car with modern and very spacious cabins. It leaves every 15-20 minutes or so. This natural site is very popular with both locals and tourists. From the 360° observatory, one can appreciate, especially on a clear day, Mount Unzen, the coastline of Nagasaki, the ships returning to the port or the historical buildings of the city.
