It is in the city centre, a 2 minute walk from a tram stop/bus (about ten minute tram ride from the station Kumamoto), so convenient to tour the city. It is also a small quarter of an hour's walk from the castle, the main attraction of the city.
Nothing to say the rooms, impeccable, perfectly equipped (TV, air-conditioning, Internet, etc...) but very small including often in Japan.
Staff, very helpful, speaks English, which is not always the case in the region!
