This natural lookout, located 120 m above sea level, was the scene of Takamori Saigō's tragic suicide in 1877. Today, the observatory is popular with visitors for its breathtaking views of Sakurajima, Kinko Bay and Kagoshima City. One can only be left speechless. To reach it, you can walk along a nature trail for about 2 km, which passes through lush nature with over 600 species of trees and wild plants. The view in the evening is also worth seeing, weather permitting.
