PHOENIX COUNTRY CLUB
The Phoenix Country Club is one of the best golf courses in the world and one of the top three in Japan. It is located in the town of Miyazaki, on the Pacific coast of Hitotsuba. The club is surrounded by pine trees and offers magnificent scenery. It has hosted the Dunlop Phoenix tournament since 1974. The clubhouse was renovated in 2002 and features a traditional Japanese look on the outside, with Japanese Obi cedar. Inside, you'll find international decor with indirect lighting and a brown color palette. The clubhouse also houses memorabilia from the tournament, such as photos of past champions and caddie bags signed by Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia. You can also sample seasonal Miyazaki specialities in one of the clubhouse restaurants. The club accepts all major credit cards and provides caddies for players. The clubhouse can be reached by bus from the Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort, just 5 minutes away.
