The Ishigaki shiritsu Yaeyama hakubutsukan Museum opened in 1972 in Ishigaki, Okinawa Prefecture. The collection reveals to the visitors various themes such as archaeology, history, art and popular traditions of Ishigaki and Yaeyama. This museum presents the crafts of the islands with some Panari-Yaki pottery from Aragusuku and Yaeyama-jōfu textiles. The explanations are unfortunately only in Japanese. Still, one can enjoy the visit.
