The bay and marine park are considered some of the most beautiful spots on the island. The bay is also famous for pearl oyster farming. Although swimming is forbidden due to strong currents, you can admire the underwater flora and fauna from glass-bottomed boats. Not far away is a curious little park, Yoneko-Yaki Pottery, with its giant statues of Shisas, those protective spirits, mixtures of dogs and lions, here turned from their traditional aspects into funny, smiling and very colorful characters.
