Starting from the docks and inaugurated in April 2000, this modern oval square (also known as the Oval Basin) took the name of the writer Roald Dahl, born in Cardiff in 1916 - author of Charlie and La Gruyère. The square is surrounded by light pillars and the end is a metal fountain, Water sculpture, 21 metres high. In summer, this open-air amphitheatre often hosts concerts and cultural events.
