On the banks of the Usk, this charming 200-year-old "country inn" is a gourmet stopover to plan on your itinerary. Well known in the area, Adam Whittle's restaurant - chef rewarded with two Rosettes - offers classic Welsh cuisine prepared with the best local products and a touch of modernity. Mussels from Swansea Bay or beef from the Usk Valley are particularly popular. A word of advice to vegetarians and gluten intolerants, you are welcome with two choices of starters, main courses and desserts.

Mon et mon copain, on a bien mangé dans cet agréable resto à Caerleon. Le cadre et la cuisine nous a bien plu. Excellents.
