It was in this 300-year-old pub that the film Under Milk Wood was shot, an adaptation of a play by Dylan Thomas about the life of fishermen, starring Richard Burton, himself a native of Wales. The very low wooden ceiling is covered with nets and the walls are decorated with nautical charts of the area, old tourist and merchant navy advertisements from Fishguard, as well as old photographs of its inhabitants. All in all, The Ship Inn guarantees a quiet and typically local atmosphere. We recommend it.
