ST. BEUNO'S CHURCH
Another point of passage from pilgrimage to the island of Bardsey. This is where Saint Beuno founded his chapel in 616. It's a beautiful church, which hasn't changed for centuries. Outside, the grass covers the Celtic crosses half. Behind the doors, dried flowers at walls, an odour of incense, straw pathways the ground: a little gem.
At 200 metres west of the church, the well (Beuno's Well) was also an important step on the pilgrims'road to Bardsey Island. It was traditionally used for the treatment of sick children, especially those suffering from epilepsy and rickets.
