The "Blue Horse Cave" (Ogof y March Glas in Welsh) was thus called following an incident in the th century: A young man who had just fought with his family took his blue-grey horse and galopa along the cliff. Splash, he fell! Only the young man's hat was found and the horse broke down at the foot of the cave.
