DEE VALLEY WAY

A fantastic hiking tour connects Llangollen to the village of Corwen. 24 km walk along the Dee River, through picturesque landscapes, discovering hamlets hidden in the depths of wooded valleys, with also a mountain part (Llantysilio Mountain).

The itinerary is divided into five sections ranging from 5 to 6,5 km, some of which are very easy and others require a little more training. This being said, one of the shortest and easy walks to make De promises a great deal of aesthetic pleasure. In 3 km, it leads to the Horseshoe Falls, a semi-circular dam, works by engineer Thomas Telford. It is one of the major designers of transport routes in the United Kingdom, also author, in Wales, the Suspendu suspension Bridge, the Pontcysyllte Canal Bridge on the Dee River, the famous A 5 road connecting London to Holyhead and the Menai Bridge, which connects the island of Anglesey to the mainland! The show of this huge piece of water is delightful.
