Housed in the Metropolitan's house, the museum presents a historical collection of the city's long tradition of enamel craftsmanship, a technique learned from the Byzantines in the 10th century that made Rostov famous and rich throughout the country. For a long time, it was the business of craftsmen on a family scale, passing on their knowledge from generation to generation. In 1960 the first factory appeared, still in activity, which produces mainly jewelry: brooches, bracelets and earrings... an original gift idea.
