KOROVNIKI SUBURB
Go there and contact
Situated on the right bank of the Volga, this suburb lived mainly on livestock (korova means cow). The church of St. John the Baptist (Ioan Zlatooust), built in 1649 by the Nezhdanovski merchants, can be seen here. Beyond the Kotorosl, on the road to Moscow, in the Yamskaya cemetery, where the Church of St. Paraskevy piatnitsy (Paraskevy piatnitsy, 1692) is located, lie the victims of the massacre perpetrated by the Tatars on 3 July 1257. Located on a hill, the cemetery offers a beautiful view of the Saint-Sauveur monastery.
