One of the richest museums in Russia with its 30,000 pieces. The museum includes the sections Antiquities (Egypt, Greece, Ancient Rome), European Art from the 16th to the 20th century, Oriental Art and Russian Art. The Russian Art section is itself divided into 3 sections : Religious Art (icons, frescoes from the 16th to the 19th century), Russian Art of the 18th and 19th centuries with major figures of this period (Rokotov, Repine, Serov, etc.), and Russian Art of the 20th century.
