SHOPPING MALLS
They were built in 1811 by Verchinsky according to the precepts of Catherine II, as had already been done in Saint Petersburg. The square plan, in the way of French bastides, clarity and a smooth scheduling, prevailed in the urban design of architects anxious to please their Empress, but did not entirely agree with the Russian principles still very favourable to the baroque inspiration where "symmetry kills beauty".
In front of the shopping galleries, the Résurrection church, a square square, is quite classic, profile its unique dome and its campanile. Next, the winter church of Kazan (Kazanskoï bogomateri), with green roof and small dome, is dominated by a more imposing bell and its stone cross.
Behind the galleries is the tower and a fire station, as well as the church of the Dormition, painted in red.
