He is the venerable grandfather of the Moscow Kremlin and of all the kremlins in the region, as he dates back at least to the 10th century and some of his achievements today date back to the 12th century, under the reign of the founding prince of Moscow Yuri Dolgoruki. The Suzdal Kremlin is remarkable for its earthen wall, one of the few preserved examples of the Slavic world, which is 1.4 km long and contains extensive streets with houses and a handful of churches. The complex has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.
