The Vladimir Historical Museum is housed in the city's old administrative buildings (dating from the 18th century). They were built in the recognizable Petersburg style, which provincial capitals were so fond of copying. It gathers souvenirs of the old Russia, costumes of nobles, armors, furniture and a collection of paintings of all periods. We travel through time, from the pious icons of the origins to the first abstract works of the beginning of the 20th century.
