The port of Kem-Rabotcheostrovsk (on the railway line in Murmansk) is one of the starting points for the Solovki and is located about twenty kilometers from the Kem railway station. Most trains arrive at around 2:00 a. m. and it is advisable to travel immediately to port. A bus (20 people) leaves 15 minutes after the train arrives from the train station and a taxi will cost you in the 400 ¥ RUB. Once at Kem Harbor, the Vassili Kosiakov at 8:00 a. m. and Metel at 12:30 p. m. cross the Solovki in 2:30 a. m. for 1,500 RUB. The same vessels do the opposite crossing, respectively at 7 p. m. and 4 p. m.

From Belomorsk, Petrozavodsk's Petrozavodsk company organizes boat transfers and road links with Petrozavodsk. The departure takes place at 8 a. m. in Belomorsk and at 7 p. m. of the Solovki, on Sapfir.
