The monastery, founded in 1371 by St. Dimitri Prilutski, is a relatively homogeneous architectural ensemble; the white colour of its walls gives it a striking brilliance. Among the places open to visitors, the Cathedral of the Saviour, with its five bell towers, is the oldest building, completed in 1542. The bell tower dates from the 18th century. Also not to be missed is the beautiful Church of the Assumption, built entirely of wood in the 16th century.
