The "green grove" was one of Stalin's dachas. Built in 1936, it was adapted to the dictator's small stature, a wax statue of which still haunts the house. The house, all painted dark green, stands in the heart of a tropical park in which it is hard to imagine the dictator. The place is very beautiful, and the interior decoration mixing intimacy with politics gives a glimpse of the discreet luxury of the 1940s in the USSR, for this elite to whom everything was allowed.
