SOLZHENITSYN MUSEUM
The Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Museum occupies the house where the famous writer and dissident lived as a child between 1920 and 1924. It is not really a house-museum but a cultural centre: the rooms are not period pieces but the exhibition, very well done, transports the spectator through the most important pages of Alexander Solzhenitsyn's biography. His childhood and adolescence, his first steps in literature, his experience in teaching, the revolution and prison, his public life as a writer, his exile and his Nobel Prize.
