The house of the Russian painter, poet and writer (1846-1898) has been transformed into a museum, where history permeates every room. The literary room is the place where the dispute that led to the duel that was fatal to Lermontov broke out. It contains a large number of letters, manuscripts, objects and furniture that belonged to the poet. One cannot miss Lermontov during a visit to the Caucasus, he was the one who told the story and anchored the region firmly in the Russian imagination.
